Ramesh Babu's eventful journey in Tollywood
By: Tupaki Desk | 9 Jan 2022 6:41 AM GMTThe elder son of superstar Krishna, the brother of Mahesh Babu, and former actor Ramesh Babu sadly passed away later last night. He had been suffering from liver complications for a long time now and he sadly succumbed to the medical complications last night. Now, here is a peek into the Tollywood career Ramesh Babu lead, which was filled with ups and downs.
While superstar Krishna could achieve great success right with his third film Goodachari 116, and there has been no looking back ever since, Ramesh's career was filled with ups and downs through and through. Ramesh's first film Samrat was released back in 1987. He was one of the charming actors in the Telugu film industry at that point in time.
Samrat was produced by superstar Krishna and the film was directed by senior filmmaker Madhusudhan. But the film could not strike a chord with the audience. Nevertheless, Ramesh showed that he is a charmer and he had the acting prowess to back it up. Also, Samrat could fetch great openings, given the fact that it marked the debut of the new entrant from the Ghattamaneni family, Ramesh Babu.
Ramesh Babu scored his first mass hit with Bazar Rowdy, which turned out to be a box office success. The film was directed by KodandaRami Reddy. But Ramesh could not follow up the film's success and a string of flops followed. Krishna had revealed that he should have focused more on Ramesh's career but that did not happen for various reasons.
Ramesh Babu showed a lot of promise as a child actor but his full-length career never took off. He gave it his best shot, but things weren't going his way. However, Ramesh is regarded as one of the true gentlemen in Telugu cinema. Eveyone who knows him say he is a warm soul with great compassion towards others. He shared a very special bonding with Mahesh Babu and these brothers used to spend a lot of time together right from Mahesh's childhood days.
But sadly, Ramesh passed away later last night. His mortal remains are kept at Padmalaya Studios.
