Rana as "Rakshasa King"?

In our mythology, there are Demons whom will call as Rakshasa and they have many shapes and forms too. One of the most feared of those Kings is Hiranyakasipa. In the role of this Demon King, we might see Rana Daggubati. Gunasekhar who took a major risk with Rudrama Devi and found success at box office after some time, is going to make this movie.

In this movie, Venkatesh will be seen playing the title role was the news, we heard till yesterday. But the director is more interested in casting Rana and the young actor is keen to perform in a mythology too. Many times we have seen Prahlada's story being said on screen with his father Hiranyakasipa as the villain who tortures him to accept him as the God and not pray Lord Vishnu. As the demon King, has a huge boon that he cannot be killed by any animal or human during the day or night and on land or in air, Vishnu comes to save his child protege in the form of Narasimha and tears the demon down on the staircase on his home during the evening time.

This is a great emotional and devotional story that is said to most of the young children to understand the concept of devotion and dedication. Being truthful and also good is the crux of this story and there are already two classics with the same story in Telugu Cinema, Chenchu Lakshmi and Bhakta Prahlada. So, the character that has been immortalised by S.V. Ranga Rao, legendary Telugu actor could be played by Rana in this Gunasekhar's version. The movie shoot will start this year only as per the reports. Rana who has been choosing different genres and scripts, like Baahubali, Ghazi and Nene Raju Nene Mantri is excited to do a mythology too.
