As if the Covid pandemic was not enough, the boycott trend is posing a big threat to the Bollywood industry. A few big films fell prey to the target and ended up as disasters due to the constant anti-campaign. In the middle of the tough time, the upcoming film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva gave a big hope to the industry. The pre-bookings showed a positive sign.

However, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer is also being targeted due to the star's old video. In the old video, Ranbir Kapoor reportedly said he eats Beef as his grandfather's roots are from Peshawar. The video was from the early 2010s. This did not go well with many.

The heat reached Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt as they had to face the wrath of protestors. Team Brahmastra reached the famous Jyotirlinga shrine in Madhya Pradesh, Mahakaleshwar to offer prayers. A few protestors gathered at the temple and protested against the couple.

They were reportedly shown black flags. Seeing the ire of the people, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor did not enter the temple. Ayan Mukerji entered the temple and offered prayers.

The Right-wing supporters always believe that Bollywood has been showing their culture in the wrong way. Ranbir Kapoor's old interview gave them a big chance to show their anger. From making boycott Brahmastra trends on social media to openly protesting, they are showing their anger.

Food choices are personal and we cannot support or oppose one based on their food habits. Well, the Cow is a sacred animal for Hindus and everyone knows that. However, this doesn't give a right to anyone to boycott anyone on this basis.

The boycott trend is getting bigger and bigger and the industry is unable to tackle it. Big stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar delivered big flops in their careers with the trend. It's been a long time since Akshay delivered a hit and the Boycott trend impacted his two films Rakshabandhan and Samrat Prithviraj.

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, the first film from the franchise is said to be made on a big budget of around Rs 400 crores. Ayan Mukerji directed the adventure fantasy film. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are playing the lead roles. It is bankrolled by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, and Double Negative production houses. Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan played key roles.
