Multi-Starrer chopped by 40 Min ahead of Release

The original run-time of this crazy project was 2 hours 47 minutes when it was applied for the Censor screening. Makers had a change of mind post the clearance from CBFC.
Director Vishal Bharadwaj, Producers Sajid Nadiadwala & Viacom 18 had a serious discussion over the Run Time which is close to 3 Hours. In the end, They collectively decided to bring down the length by at least half-an-hour. The decision was taken keeping in mind that Today's audience are lack the patience to watch such a lengthy flick.
After bringing the film back to the Editing table, Almost 40 Minutes of 'Rangoon' has been chopped. The final cut which is believed to be anywhere around 2 hours 10 minutes will be releasing in theaters on February 24th. All the parties involved were quite happy with the development as crisp editing would only make the product viewer-friendly.
