At a day and age when cinema is diversifying beyond the stretch of anyone's imagination, there is still a comprehension that actresses should not feature in bold scenes and not to do lip locks with their co-stars.
Incidentally, even Bollywood heroine Deepika Padukone is facing this strange situation now and she has a strong response to the same.
A social media user asked Deepika Padukone if her husband Ranveer Singh permitted her to do lip lock scenes with her co-star in her forthcoming Hindi film Gehraiyaan. As offensive as this question may seem, Deepika made time to react to the same and she really has a strong response.
"It's stupid that we're even reacting to it. I think for us, that's the most important thing. I don't read comments, I am pretty certain he doesn't. I think, yuck, it just feels so stupid". Deepika replied to the netizen who asked about her husband's permission for starring in lip lock scenes.
Adding further in this context, Deepika wrote "I think actors are really brave, because you're inherently living a life that is deeply unstable. Peaks are followed by troughs. You need talent, you need luck, and you need to work your a** off"
Deepika did not stop at that, she went on to share a bold song from Gehraiyaan which shows her and her costar Siddhant Chaturvedi in a bold avatar. This social media post is now going viral.
