Mary Kom 'Biopic Mary Kom', Sachin Tendulkar biopic 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams', MS Dhoni biopic 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', Mahavir Phogat biopic 'Dangal'.. impressed the audience.
Badminton player & Olympic medalist PV Sindhu biopic, another badminton player Saina Nehwal biopic, Sania Mirza biopic, India woman cricket team player Jhulan Goswami biopic, women cricket team captain Mithali Raj biopics are also underway.
It is known that Kapil Dev biopic joined this league recently. Kapil is known as one of the best all-rounders in the world and the Indian team captain who brought first world cup to India. Bollywood hero Ranveer Singh is playing Kapil Dev role in the biopic titled '83'. Kabir Khan is the direction of the film. All the cricketers who were part of 1983 world cup winning team attended the movie launch event in Mumbai recently. Ranveer Singh posed for the photographs with the legendary cricketer in the event.
While speaking about the biopic Ranveer said that "When Kabir Khan narrated the script I was shocked to know how Kapil Dev fought against all odds to rise high in the career. More than a great cricket story, it is a great human story."
