Bollywood's star hero Ranveer Singh has been going through a rough phase as his movies like '83' and 'Jayeeshbhai Jordaar' ended up in heavy losses. He has pinned hopes on 'Cirkus' directed by Rohit Shetty who guarantees commercial success. One of his upcoming projects is a superhero film and the 'Ram Leela' actor will be seen playing the iconic Shaktiman who is India's first superhero as any 90s kid could remember.
This super hit show was a phenomenon during the early 2000s and Sony Pictures decided to make it into a movie that will star Ranveer Singh playing the lead role. The project was launched officially and the producers took their time on finalizing the director. Instead of going for big pan-Indian directors, they chose to rely on the highly talented South Indian filmmaker Basil Joseph.
