Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and Controversies go hand-in-hand. The Minister in Akhilesh Yadav's cabinet has yet again made the news for all the wrong reasons.
In a shocking move, Azam Khan called for demolition of Taj Mahal, Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House. He opined these historical structures must be destroyed as they were symbols of 'slavery'.
During a seminar in Rampur's Raza Degree College, Azam Khan told everyone should accept the fact that Taj Mahal is the No.1 Symbol of Feudalism. 'Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House follows. Such big monuments were simple waste of public money,' he added.
Azam Khan unsuccessfully contested in Lok Sabha elections against Jayaprada from Rampur. In the 2014 polls, He won after contesting on Samajwadi Party ticket and was inducted into to Akhilesh Yadav's cabinet.
