By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Jun 2022 1:12 PM GMTLeading beauty Nayanthara who is enjoying superstardom has started a new chapter in her life by tying the knot with the love of her life. The diva tied the knot with director Vignesh Shivan on Friday with limited guests from Kollywood and Bollywood. As the couple could not marry at Tirumala, they visited the holy shrine to offer prayers after marriage.
As an unexpected twist, their visit turned controversial with Nayan wearing a chappal while doing a photoshop. The pictures went viral. There were reports that the TTD is not happy with this and the board which manages the richest temple in the country would take action against the newlywed.
Following this, the couple swung into action and issued an apology saying that they did not do that intentionally and as they were in a hurry they did not realize they were wearing chappals. Having said that, the couple maintained they wanted to take a picture to make their day memorable.
"We have always wanted our marriage to happen in Tirupati but due to logistic reasons the event was not possible and we had to do our wedding in Chennai. To wholesomely complete our wedding we made sure we headed to Tirupati directly from the wedding venue to watch Sami Kalyanam and to receive blessings of Sami Balaji," the couple said in a letter.
"We had a wonderful darshan and wanted to take a picture outside the temple to have this day in our memory but due to the crowd and chaos we had to exit and re-enter the premises. In the hurry we did not realise our footwear," the couple said in their apology letter," the couple added.
