A director should have a vision, proper planning and discipline. Director Krish has all the three qualities. That's the reason why he could a periodic drama like 'Gautami Putra Satakarni' within a short period. Even his earlier film 'Kanche' also had historical touch. The war sequences in these two films require huge sets. But Krish made these films with good quality event though he had limited budget & time.
That's the reason why he has got the opportunity to direct another historical film like 'Manikarnika' which is based on the story of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is known that 'Manikarnika' starring Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut has been launched recently in Varanasi. When they planned the film initially, Ketan Mehta was chosen as the director. Story discussions went on for few months.. but they have replaced him with Krish later.
There are two reasons for finalizing Krish. He is able to make 'Gautami Putra Satakarni' a super hit even though he made with limited budget and less span of time. So, Kangana has voted for him. Second reason is KV Vijayendra Prasad's recommendation as per the talk. But some people in Bollywood are said to be jealous of this recommendation. There is nothing wrong in recommending a talented director like Krish. Moreover he has proved himself in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gabbar Is Back'.
