Why Is He Doing Savyasachi?

Mahavan is one of the most respected actors in Indian Cinema. He started off with Tamil Cinema but grew big across the Indian diaspora, by doing films like Tanu Weds Manu and 3 Idiots.
Now, the actor is doing his first Telugu Movie, Savyasachi. He sat down for an interview with respected critic, Bharadwaj Rangan.
Talking about different films and his career, he also talked about Savyasachi. He said, " I accepted this Telugu movie, Savyasachi as I wanted to experiment and also, find the good scripts that suit my age. Chandoo came to me with this brilliant script and as I thought it is worth watching on large screen I accepted it."
He further said, " I did take in account my discomfort with the new language as I don't have similar spontaneity I have in Tamil and Hindi, but the script and my character are so strong that I decided to take a leap of faith. I am enjoying this experience as the young team is taking great care of me."
Talking about his role, he revealed that the role is a negative one and he gave very few days to the movie as we can say it is an extended guest role. He talked more about his Social web-series releasing on Amazon Prime.
Savyasachi, is the title of the movie starring Naga Chaitanya, Nidhi Agerwal in the lead roles and M.M. Keeravani is scoring music for this Chandoo Mondeti directorial.
