RGV Cracks A Joke On Bollywood's Collections Lately!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 May 2022 12:35 PM GMTMaverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma never leaves a chance to create controversy or make bold statements that bring him a lot of publicity. He has been doing this for the past two decades and still survives in the film industry thanks to his business sense and talent. After making harsh statements on the Hindi film industry a few days back, he is at it once again.
His latest tweet says that the first weekend collection of Ranveer Singh's Hindi project 'Jayeeshbhai Jordar' is 11.75 crores while the first weekend collection of 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' starring Mahesh Babu is 135 crores. He also included some shocked emojis.
Ranveer Singh's film got average and below average reviews which drove the audience away from theatres. This is the second flop Ranveer faced after '83' in recent times. Meanwhile, Mahesh's film too did not get good reviews but the superstar's star power helped in registering such big numbers. He pointed out the difference between North and South cinema as well as the audience with this tweet without making any comment.
A couple of days back, he said, "The way SOUTH films seem to be going in theatres and NORTH films don't seem to be going, it looks like BOLLYWOOD should be soon making films only for OTT." He made another tweet too which stated, "Bollywood will be now getting ducked from both front and back as they neither seem to know how to make superhits nor can they hope to survive on remaking south films because nobody will sell them REMAKE rights. Moral of the story is it's smart to release dubbed films instead of remaking them because it's obvious that the audiences are ok with any face or any subject from anywhere as long as it interests them."
