RGV offers Cycle Rowdy tribute to Ilayaraja

Remember the background score in the sequence of RGV debut path breaking film Shiva where Nagarjuna and the girl on the cycle being chased by goons.The background music in that particular sequence was admired by many fans and Ilayaraja showed his mark .
Now once again its back again in a new tang in RGVs forthcoming film Rowdy and the same music was incorporated in Rowdy theme song. The album titled as Cycle Rowdy and will be released shortly.
RGV ,who made debut with Shiva movie have decided to pay tribute Ilayaraja and in a statement he said
I was a huge fan of this legendary musician, my main interest is to bring back this composition to express the great idea of the genius Illayaraja's 1989 soundtrack (of 'Shiva') to 2014.I asked Sai Kartik (composer of 'Rowdy') to do an integration of the brilliant cycle chase theme from 'Shiva' into the main theme of 'Rowdy' and it turned out to be brilliant,"
"I still can't forget the goose bumps I got back in 1989 when Illayaraja was scoring music for that sequence. This is my salute to Illayaraj" He added
