RGV's KRKR: No Theatrical Release..Watch It Online?
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Dec 2019 5:52 AM GMTRam Gopal Varma could have anticipated the controversies surrounding 'Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu' on the day he announced the project itself. As per his expectations, This controversial flick managed to attain decent buzz prior to the release because of the numerous debates hosted by media channels. One thing RGV failed to anticipate is the unresolvable hurdle created by the Censor Board.
Censor Members raised objection to not only the title of RGV's upcoming flick but also 80 percent of the content in it. Its near impossible to change 80 percent of the content at this stage for obtaining Censor Board clearance. Even the Revising Committee mayn't respond positively to the NOC sought by Ram Gopal Varma considering the fact that this film could lead to caste wars in AP.
There was a feeling among public that YSR Congress Party and CM Jaganmohan Reddy were portrayed in a positive manner in 'Kamma Rajyam Lo Kadapa Reddlu'. That does mean YCP Government would remain a mere spectator if Varma crosses the limit. Already, AP Govt raised an objection over the content of this controversial flick.
Taking into account all these aspects, Ram Gopal Varma mayn't rule out the possibility of opting for a direct online release. He might enter into a deal with one of the online streaming platforms anytime soon if the Revising Committee shuts the door.
