Maruthi created a brand image for himself within a short span after making his directorial debut. Once in a while, He encourages young talent by promoting few Individuals as Directors with low budget entertainers. So far, None of such attempts have been successful at the Box Office. Still, Maruthi hasn't give up hope. For 'Rojulu Marayi', He collaborated with Dil Raju apart from penning the Story & Screenplay.

Synopsis:

While Peter (Parvatheesam) sacrifices his job for Rambha (Tejaswi), Ashvad (Chetan) takes good care of Aadya (Kruthika). But, These two girls were actually cheating on them by being in a relationship with other men. One fine day, Rambha and Aadya meet a Baba to know about their future. That's when they were told that whomever they marry would get killed within 3 days. So, Rambha and Aadya decide to marry Peter and Ashvad to lead their rest of lives happily with their lovers. Has their plan worked? How did the story end? Do watch 'Rojulu Marayi' in theatres near you for knowing more..!

Performances:

'Kerintha' fame Parvatheesam steals the show with his comic timing. This Actor keeps the audience in splits every time he appears on the screen. Even Tejaswi Madiwada has done a good job. Their pairing is the strength of this youthful entertainer.

The jodi of Chetan & Kruthika failed big time. While Chetan had a single expression most of the time, Kruthika hardly made a positive impression. Vasu Inturi tickles the funny bone. Ali failed to invoke laughter.

Pros:

Parvatheesam's Comedy

Dialogues

Cons:

Second Half

Screenplay

Cinematography

Technicalities:

JB has down pretty well every time he composed music for the films directed by Maruthi. He, however, wasn't successful in creating the same impact while working with other Filmmakers. Songs of 'Rojulu Marayi' were just okay and even Background Score is below par. Camera Work by Balreddy looked awkward in few scenes. Ravi Namburi's one-liners have hit the right chord with the youth. Production Values are fine. Maruthi left a mark of his own with story and screenplay. Yet again, He tried the 'Horror Comedy' genre but the impact wasn't on par with 'Prema Katha Chitram'. Director Murali Krishna does a decent job and narrated the film in Maruthi's style.

Analysis:

Almost all the concepts of Maruthi are based on Today's youth. For 'Rojulu Marayi', He showed how girls have been misusing the kind of admiration they have been receiving from the opposite gender. Exposing the double games played by the younger generation in the name of love, Makers have tried to generate comedy at regular intervals.

First Half of 'Roujulu Marayi' is very entertaining. The comic timing of Parvatheesam has been explored to the fullest and liveliness of Tejaswi is a treat to watch. The Twist in the Interval creates a good curiosity. With the shift to Horror-Comedy in Second Half, Audience lose interest on the proceedings and the same old routine Screenplay plays the spoilsport.

The concepts chosen by Maruthi will usually based on the mindset of present day Youth and touches aspects such as love, marriage and career. Even 'Rojulu Marayi' will be no different. The Screenplay penned by him reminds us of films such as 'Drushyam' and 'Final Destination'.

After the Interval, 'Rojulu Marayi' becomes predictable and continues to test the patience of the audience. Even the Climax looks very ordinary to ruin any scope of keeping the audience hooked to the screens. Viewers don't find Maruthi-mark Adult Comedy in this movie. May be, That's due to Dil Raju's involvement in the production.

Bottom Line: Rojulu Marayi…But, Maruthi serves Old Stuff!
