RRR cost more than 500 crores?

RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR is the first film to have huge stars from Telugu Cinema together. In Malayalam Industry, Mohan Lal and Mammotty came together for few films to help Malayalam actor's association, AMMA.
Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan stopped coming together for a film after they have become huge stars. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna or Nagarjuna or Venkatesh never came together for a film.
In Hindi, multi-starrers have been quite common. So, RRR is a rare event in Telugu Cinema and we are going to say that it is a rare event in Indian Cinema too.
Because the budget is said to be Rs. 550-560 crores including remunerations of stars. Producer DVV Danayya has quoted that he spent Rs. 336 crores on the film for production only, excluding remunerations of Jr. NTR, Ram Charan and Rajamouli, Alia Bhatt.
We are getting information directly from the stars that they have been paid never before heard amounts for starring in the film. Popularly, in trade circles it is said that Rs. 50-65 crores have been paid to Ram Charan and Jr NTR each.
SS Rajamouli got more than Rs. 100 crores as remuneration, say trade sources. So, the budget for the film is almost Rs. 550 crores even if Danayya bloated producing budget numbers for ticket price hikes from Andhra Pradesh Government.
This is huge budget for any Indian film. Baahubali films cost Rs. 450 crores but the team made two films in that budget. Here, one film has cost Rs. 550 crores.
Looks like Rajamouli has taken a huge leap of faith to make this multi-starrer. Movie is releasing on 25th March and we hope it becomes huge blockbuster as expected.
