RRR, featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles is the most anticipated Indian film in recent times. As the film gears up for its theatrical release on the 25th of this month, here is an interesting scoop about the pan-India box office prospects of the Rajamouli directorial.

Owing to the multiple delays in shoot, RRR's worldwide box office prospects took a beating. The buyers had to pay additional interest amounts as the film's release kept piling up every passing month.

All in all, RRR's breakeven mark has touched the Rs 500 crore mark which is an unprecedented feat for any Indian film till now. The project is riding high on buzz but it will have to be on top of its game if it is recover the humongous box office investments.

Coming to the topic, the promotional deal that was struck between RRR and PVR Cinemas a couple of months ago has taken a new twist. What started off as a promotional deal to turn PVR Cinemas across the country to PVRRR cinemas has taken a business oriented turn now.

Apparently, the makers of RRR want to release the film in all the PVR owned cinema hall across Northern India on their own. They area apparently ready to revoke the Hindi distribution rights deal that was struck with Pen Studious.

The new plan is to sell off RRR's Hindi rights for all the single screens across North India to a third party and keep hold of the theatrical rights to screen at the vast PVR multiplex chain across the Northern belt.

This is a tad risky but it pays off, RRR's producers could be looking at monstrous profits. More details about this financial transaction are expected to be out in the next few days as the film gears up for its theatrical release.
