By: Tupaki Desk | 24 March 2022 1:11 PM GMTThe makers of 'RRR' have stopped at no end in order to promote their film. Rajamouli who is a genius when it comes to marketing his movies has used all his expertise once again for this pan-Indian film made on a huge budget of over 400 crores.
NTR and Ram Charan invested all their energies into generating huge buzz on this film which will be out in the next few hours. The team gave numerous interviews, organized pre-release events in various cities, interacted with Youtube channels, participated in shows and even brought in noted celebrities to interview them.
Rajamouli who doesn't speak highly about his movies usually before the release has openly said that this is a better product than 'Baahubali' emotions-wise and showcased his confidence on the product in many interviews. Thanks to their tremendous efforts, 'RRR' is getting released amidst huge euphoria and it is going to collect heavily.
But what 'RRR' signified is the capacity of Icon Star Allu Arjun. He did not have the scope to promote his 'Pushpa' on such a scale. Even director Sukumar openly said that he made a Telugu film and did not keep the national audience in mind.
He picked up a rural film that had a lot of nativity factor to it. Due to the hectic post-production work in the last few days, the team wasn't able to promote 'Pushpa' in Hindi. At one point, there was uncertainty whether the Hindi version would have a theatrical release or not. All they managed to do at last was organize a press meet in Mumbai,
The film got 3 crores on the first day and most of the theatres across the country ran with a 50% occupancy rate at that time. Allu Arjun even faced huge competition from Ranveer Singh's '83'.
On top of everything, the film got a mixed response on the first day. Despite all this, it is Allu Arjun's phenomenal acting and star power that attracted the audience in North. Bunny's craze came into play and the positive word of mouth helped the film to cross 100 crores collections at the box office despite all the hurdles.
Also, 'Pushpa' became a sensation with many celebrities imitating the mannerism and dance step of Allu Arjun. Even today, we saw Ganguly and Vidya Balan imitating Allu Arjun. This is the impact he created just with his performance without any proper promotions. We really need to acknowledge that Allu Arjun is truly a pan-Indian hero now.
