Now, popular website IMDb released the list of Top 10 most popular Indian movies of 2022, and guess which movie topped the list? Yes! It is Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' (Rise Roar Revolt) which stood first in the list with an 8/10 rating. The second place is occupied by 'The Kashmir Files' which became a huge hit due to its strong content and political backing. This year's biggest commercial hit 'KGF – 2' stood third in this list while Kamal Hassan's blockbuster film 'Vikram' ended up in fourth place.

Another Kannada blockbuster 'Kantara' which was made on 15 crores and collected over 300 crores stood 5th in this list while Madhavan's underrated film 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' is in 6th. Adivi Sesh's 'Major' grabbed the 7th spot while the classic love story 'Sita Ramam' took the 8th place. Mani Ratnam's giant film 'Ponniyin Selvan – 1' is in 9th place while '777 Charlie' is in the 10th position.

Interestingly, Rakshit Shetty's '777 Charlie' which stood last in this list is the highest rated among all while 'RRR' which occupied the first place is the second least rated film among these ten films. On the whole, there are three movies from the Telugu film industry, three from the Kannada film industry, three from Kollywood and only one film from Bollywood which perfectly depicts the current mood of the Indian movie viewer.
