Vijayendra Prasad is known for his honest statements. He doesn't mince words while speaking about himself and also about his son Rajamouli, arguably the best filmmaker in Indian cinema. In his latest interaction with a media house, Vijayendra Prasad revealed the biggest weakness of Rajamouli. He also spoke at length about the Telugu director he really admires and envies. He also gave a couple of updates regarding Rajamouli's next project with Mahesh Babu. Interestingly, Vijayendra Prasad also revealed, what he believes is a weakness of another happening star director Sukumar.

"Rajamouli doesn't have the ability to build a story from scratch, But as we all know, he is exceptionally good at picking the rights stories and mounting them on a larger than life canvas. He is a master when it comes to story presentation. The way he conceives and executes a project is of the topmost quality. But his biggest weakness is not being able to complete his projects in quick time. He spends a lot of time on shooting and post-production. I have advised him to change his route and develop the knack of wrapping up films in quick time. But all my words of advice went in vain. Another top director, Sukumar has a similar weakness. He too takes too much time to complete a project. Rajamouli and Sukumar are like for like when it comes to spending too much time on their projects. But both of them are fueled by their passion for cinema, which is admirable," he said.

Vijayendra Prasad went on to say that he really admires and envies Puri Jagannadh who has the knack of completing projects at a very brisk pace. "Also Puri has the ability to build up the mood for a fight sequence in an instance. I have been trying to learn how to build up the intensity with swift scenes, but I am unable to do so. Maybe, if I work with him, I might learn how to do it," he said. Vijayendra Prasad further revealed that Rajamoul-Mahesh project will be mounted on a big scale as well. "We are yet to lock the story and are exploring various options. The idea of locking African forest backdrop for the story is on the cards," he concluded.
