The OTT platforms are giving a huge opportunity for superstars to attempt something different which they cannot do it for the big screens. A star like Ajay Devgn is trying to move away from his 'Singham' image and perform a realistic cop's role in his upcoming web series named 'Rudra : The Edge Of Darkness'. Not just him but Raashi Khanna is also playing a very interesting role in this series.

The second trailer came out a while ago and it raises the expectations even further. The series is based on a British TV show named 'Luther' and we can see Ajay Devgn as an officer named 'Rudra' in the crime department who has his own set of personal issues to deal with. He and his team are after a criminal who is on a killing spree and torturing the victims. Esha Deol plays the role of his wife who is separated from Rudra.

What is more interesting is the fact that Raashi Khanna will be seen in a completely different role. We are used to seeing her as the bubbly heroine who oozes charm and energy on screen but she will be playing a twisted role. Her character looks to be quite new and sources claim that she plays a negative role. The red hair she sported for his series suited her too but we need to see if she pulls off such a challenging role or not. She is also working in another web series with Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi.

The series features a lot of recognized actors like Atul Kulkarni. Ashwini Kalsekar, Ashish Vidyarthi, Milind Gunaji, Luke Kenny and others. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, this web series is produced by Sameer Nair. The trailer is cut in a perfect way as it takes us into the world of Rudra and the darkness in it. But it doesn't reveal the story and keeps the mystery and suspense alive.

This is a psychological crime drama that will be streamed on Disney + Hotstar from 4th March 2022.
