Box Office: Saaho Is A Break-Even Hit In ...!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Sep 2019 8:31 AM GMTSaaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, has hit theatres on 30th August. Using Vinayaka Chathurthi weekend, it scored a massive gross across the World, say trade sources.
Some claim it to have crossed 300 crores gross and some say it crossed 350 crores gross and attained a share of Rs. 200 crores.
On the whole, movie is said to be a disaster but a strong statement from Prabhas that his Baahubali stardom is not a fluke.
Had Saaho become a hit, he might have stood among Khans in the Bollywood as the biggest star from India. In Hindi, he could still lay a claim on stardom.
His Saaho, will be a break-even hit in Hindi even when it will be a failure elsewhere. Saaho is said to be sold for Rs. 65 crores in Hindi markets.
It collected a Nett of Rs. 110 crores by the end of sixth day, Wednesday at North Indian markets. Film share is expected to be more than 62 crores from first week.
So, from second weekend whatever movie collects from Hindi markets can be calculated as profit for distributor. It is the only area where movie managed to put up such a decent show and attain break-even hit status.
In AP/TS, movie share is said to be close to 70 crores and it has to collect at least 50 crores more to attain hit status in Telugu states. It looks like highly unlikely for the film.
