4 hours 30 minutes: Saaho Original Runtime?
By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Sep 2019 5:55 AM GMTGenerally, most of the films will have a director's cut and a final cut. A director's cut is the film which features each and every scene of the script. A final cut is the edited one with a lesser runtime to make the film crispy for the theatrical experience. In Tollywood, directors like Rajamouli shoot their film for about 4 hours and get that footage to up to 2.30 hrs to three hours in the final cut.
In the case of recent film Saaho, director Sujeeth has apparently had footage of 4 hours 37 minutes length. For a screenplay based film which runs only on twists and turns, this runtime is pretty high and one would wonder what all Sujeeth has written in this story. The final cut of the film was about 2 hours 52 minutes.
Even though the film was trimmed about one and a half hours, it still looked prolonged with lengthy and boring sequences. If Sujeeth had written a crisp screenplay with about two hours, the film would've been received better by the audience and also would have saved the budget.
