Salman fails while Akshay succeeds!

Superstars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar locked horns at the end of 2019 with 'Dabangg 3' and 'Good Newwz' respectively. 'Dabangg 3' is a typical commercial flick with Salman's mark all over it while Akshay Kumar's film is a feel-good comedy entertainer.
'Dabangg 3' released on 20th December amidst huge hype and the film failed badly at the box-office due to its run-of-the-mill and over-the-top content. The film crossed the 150 crore mark in two weeks but considering the pre-release business and Salman's craze, these are very disappointing numbers.
On the flipside, Akshay's 'Good Newwz' got positive talk right from the beginning and the film collected 150 crores in just 10 days. Keeping in mind the film's pre-release business, it can be termed as a blockbuster. With 'Tanhaji' and 'Chhappak' releasing on this weekend, 'Good Newwz' will end its theatrical run at 200 crores. This once again proves that content is bigger than the superstar.
