Salman Khan breaks down in court room

We have reported that Salman was found guilty on most of the charges levelled against him in the hit and run case. Now the final judgement was pronounced and Salman Khan has been sentenced to five years in jail. Revealing the verdict additional Sessions Judge D.W. Deshpande sentenced Bollywood actor to five years in jail for the 2002 hit-and-run accident that killed one man and injured four.
The actor had earlier denied the charges and told the court that he was not driving the car. But the court rejected that statement. As the court delivered the verdict, Salman had tears in his eyes and stood silently in the dock. Salman Khan will first be taken for a medical test and later moved to jail.
Salman Khan will move bail soon after order copy. Right now, he is surrounded by family and friends inside the courtroom. Reports say that Salman broke down in court soon after judge announces the verdict.
Salman has been facing the charges of driving over sleeping homeless men, killing one of them and fleeing away from the spot in 2002. Salman is likely to be taken into police custody and sent to the Arthur Road Central Jail in south Mumbai.
