Samantha in Savitri, but not as Savitri

All these days there is a buzz sometimes that Samantha is playing Savitri role in her biopic, while news has later comeout that she's not playing it. Well, what's the truth?
Reportedly a new news has emerged now which says Samantha is indeed part of the film. But she will not be playing the title role of Savitri. "Actually the film will be narrated through Samantha's eyes and she will playing that mystery girl kind of. For Savitri role, an actress is not finalised yet", said a source.
One wonders what is that other role Samantha is part of. To be directed by Nag Ashwini, Savitri's biopic will be produced by Ashwini Dutt.
