Actually Samantha is asked to put on weight to suit the role of Savitri as the vintage queen of Telugu cinema was never slim and slender. But with marriage on the cards and many functions in line, Samantha don't wanted to risk her physique now like an Anushka did for Size Zero.
For that reason, Samantha has opted out, and the makers have no option than Nitya Menon for the role.
