Samantha To A 'New Turn' As Producer!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Sep 2018 10:02 AM GMTYes, Samantha Akkineni is trying to become an active part of Annapurna Studios as a producer and she may act in few of them too.
As a production house Annapurna Studios got established in 1980 after ANR completed construction of two studio floors and all basic requirements there.
Now, Annapurna Studios is the most happening studio, as it is in the heart of the city, Hyderabad and also as a production house it has become one of the most prestigious ones in Telugu.
Nagarjuna created Manam Enterprises for his sons and their families, while Annapurna will remain a family production house. As it is also one of the most prestigious production houses, Samantha Akkineni has decided to use it to produce small budget films.
She will be the sole producer but execution will be done by established Annapurna team.
Already she zeroed in on two young filmmakers and once they submit final versions of their scripts, she will take Nagarjuna and her husband, Naga Chaitanya's take on them, before taking a final call, it seems.
Seems like every big production house that used to be accused as small film crushers by many in Industry are slowly trying to make plans to encourage new talent more. A welcome change indeed!
