Normally, after a point of time in actors career, decide to do some prestigious films that will win awards and get them a lot of name and fame, which will push their name in a new light.
Sometimes these films could help them elaborate their career too. But for Samantha business of a film is more important than just making a film.
She talked about economics of U-Turn in a recent interview and said, "I liked the trailer of the Kannada film, U-Turn and called up Pawan Kumar. Asked him to mail me the script and watched original twice before going ahead to sign the film.
I wanted to be a part of it, but not because it will win me awards or so. I want the movie to be appreciated by many and win at box office.
So, we decided on the safe budget and when everything is comfortably planned I thought rather than luxuries, we should concentrate on necessities for this film.
Now, we hope the holiday weekend will help us recover our budget in both the languages. There is no use, if a film loses money and earns good name. It should first earn the money and if it is a good film, it will automatically make us proud and win awards!".
