Women from Film Industry slowly started speaking about the sexual abuse, assault and harassment they faced during their hey days and before that too.
Latest to reveal such things is Sameera Reddy. She acted in Bollywood, Tollywood and Tamil movies in different directors direction till her marriage to Akshay Varde in 2015.
She talked to a Tamil media outlet after people body shamed her calling fat. She said, ''I don't know why people can't accept a natural change in women's body and even women pass such comments, which is surprising.
Anyways, I am glad that MeToo Movement has happened and people are growing aware about the harassment issue in Film Industry.
Even after achieving name and success, many tried to ask me for a commitment and even tortured me mentally in different ways to get what they desired.
I want to see even strict measures against such people for women to safely do their work in Film Industry and elsewhere too,'' concluded the actress.
