Sandeep Kishan couldn't really deliver a hit or commercially successful film for past three years even though he did ten films.
All of them ended up being box office disasters. He took a break from films and re-acessesed his scripts and stories. He announced recently one film, which he deemed will be his comeback.
He found another interesting script from Subramanyapuram director, Santhosh Jagarlapudi. Even though Subramanyapuram failed at box office, it did get some critical acclaim.
This new film will be a sports drama it seems. "The epic Mahabharata teaches us that Dronacharya demanded the thumb of his disciple Ekalavya, who self-learned archery. Our modern-day sports drama will tell the story of a Guru who seeks a certain 'Guru Dakshina' from his student," revealed the team.
Well, Sandeep Kishan is looking for a definite hit at the box office and we have to wait and see, if this film can become that much needed hit for him.
