Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of Arjun Reddy had an interesting thesis about his movie. He compared it with narcotics and drugs. He said, " My film is of the length 3 hours 1 min 42 secs. Many people asked me why should your movie be so lengthy. Well, my movie is an emotionally driven heavy duty cult romance. Many generally say, good film stays with you in your home, live with you and travels with you. This movie is more than that.

" Actually, there is a drug which causes for us to have Radiolucent images in our brain. After taking the drug, even after 20 years you will be caught, as the images won't be erased. My movie to be will be a radiolucent image in your brain." Then he talked about how the movie had to be done by Sharwanand.

He said, " Sharwanand had to do this movie at first and Swapna Dutt was supposed to produce. But she referred Vijay Devarakonda as we could not get the dates of Sharwanand. Also, with this film, Senior actress Kanchana will be seen on screen again after 34 years. She said she did not know what to do for 34 years and I'm happy that I was able to work with her in my lifetime."

He continued, " This movie is not for kids. It is for adults only. Yes, for the adults who are matured enough to understand the emotions. This is more an emotional drama and once you enter the theatre you will captivated by the emotions and performances, so I would say this is for family audience but who are matured enough. Censor took a Viva for us before giving us an 'A' certificate and they asked us how come without censorship we gave the teaser and trailer to Broadcast media. Well, they played it on their channels on their own and I thank them for giving us such a huge publicity at free of cost!"
