It's true that Sanjay Dutt wanted to thrash Rishi Kapoor. This was revealed by none other than the 'Bobby' Star in his biography 'Khullam Khulla'.
Even Actor Gulshan Grover confirms this episode. One fine day, Sanjay Dutt and Gulshan Grover went to Rishi Kapoor's house only to beat him up. The reason behind it was Sanjay Dutt suspected Rishi might be having an affair with his Girlfriend Tina Munim.
After Sanjay and Gulshan reached the spot, Rishi Kapoor's fiancee Neetu convinced both of them that her Boyfriend wasn't having an affair with Tina Munim. Hence, The Actors left the place without executing their plan.
Neetu Kapoor was in a relationship with Rishi Kapoor when this incident took place. Later, They both married.
Interestingly, Rishi Kapoor's Son Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead role in Sanjay Dutt's biopic to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani of '3 Idiots' & 'PK' fame.
