Top Filmmaker To Remake 'Kaththi' Movie

Kollywood hero Vijay has delivered some blockbusters, and one such movie that performed exceptionally well at the box office is Kaththi. Penned and helmed by AR Murugadoss, 'Kaththi' featured Samantha Akkineni as the female lead. This 2014-released social drama received critical acclaim.
The movie also got remade in Telugu by Megastar Chiranjeevi titled as 'Khaidi Number 150' which also ended up as an industry hit and highest grossing film in the non-Baahubali category. Now, Bollywood's most renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose recent magnum opus, 'Padmaavat' became a huge success got the remake rights of 'Kaththi.' Bhansali is currently in search of a lead to reprise the role Vijay played in the film. The lead actor will play a dual role in the movie.
Earlier, Bhansali remade Murugadoss' Ramana and Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu in Hindi and delivered decent hits. As 'Kaththi' became a massive hit in Tamil and Telugu, the audience is expecting same magic in Hindi as well.
