Sanju Broke Baahubali Record

Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' not only became a blockbuster but also set the bars high for other movies in terms of collections at the box office. The audience thought that no movie can beat the Baahubali's record for a while. Even none of Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan movies succeeded in reaching the range of Baahubali. But a young hero made this possible. He is none other than Ranbir Kapoor with his latest release Sanju which came out as the biopic of Sanjay Dutt.
Director Rajkumar Hirani also became one of the assets for the film. Right from the release of the first look of the movie, the expectations are sky high and even after the release the movie succeeded in not only reaching them but also going beyond the expectations. The movie recorded highest opening day collections. On the first day, collections grosses Rs. 34.75 crores and became the first highest grosser in this year. 'Sanju' might have failed to break the record of opening day collections of Baahubali: The Conclusion, but the numbers changed on the third day. It broke the record by making highest collections in a single day. Baahubali 2 made 46.50 crores on the third day whereas Sanju grossed Rs. 46.7 1 crores.
The audience have been lauding the taking of Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor's outstanding performance. By the end of third day, overall collections of Sanju went up to Rs. 120 crores and the trade analysts are confident that the film can easily reach the 300 crores mark and will definitely stand as the highest grosser in 2018.
