In Talk: A Weekend without New Releases!

In Telugu States, At least a single New Release can be expected every week be it any season. The only slot which remains vacant is the weekend after Sankranthi season. As there will 3-4 new releases every year for Pongal, No New Releases were planned until Republic Day. This tradition has been continued in this year as well.
Four Films (Agnyaathavaasi, Jai Simha, Gang, Rangula Ratnam) released for Sankranthi 2018. There willn't be any notable New Releases this Friday. How will the Pongal Films take advantage of it should be seen!
A drop of 80 percent was witnessed on Day 2 in the case of 'Agnyaathavaasi'. This biggie never showed signs of recovery since then. 'Jai Simha' is doing pretty well despite average talk. Suriya-starrer 'Gang' is able to collect decent revenue and it's expected to do well in the second week. Whereas, 'Rangula Ratnam' failed to show any impact. While 'Jai Simha' is capitalizing the advantage in Mass Circuits, 'Gang' is doing well in A Centres. Neither Agnyaathavaasi nor Rangula Ratnam might gain much from it.
