Top Comedian in the midst of Controversy

Just alike Sunil in TFI, Santhanam promoted himself to Hero from Comedian in Kollywood. The only difference would be the kind of risk Santhanam has been taking by producing his films, whereas Sunil plays it safe. Even some of his project have done fairly well at Tamil Nadu Box Office.
Unfortunately, A film of Santhanam got struck in a controversy now. Producer Muhammad Mastan planned a film with 'Dhilluku Dhuddu' Director Raam Bala. By providing the story, The Producer offered him Rs 3 lakh out of Rs 11 lakh remuneration as Advance to the Director. Shiva and Nanditha were roped to play female leads.
Much to the shock of Producer, Raam Bala casted Santhanam as hero in his subject. When the Producer enquired with Raam Bala, Santhanam told him Raam Bala wasn't the Director of his project. But, He was shocked to find Raam Bala's name as Director in the first look poster of the movie. When Producer asked him why he has lied, Santhanam dared to say, 'Do what you can!'.
As a result, Producer moved a petition in the Chennai Civil Court complaining he will lose Rs 81 lakh pre-production cost if 'Dhillaku Dhuddu' hits the screens. Court served summons to Santhanam and Raam Bala asking them to appear before it. So, There is uncertainty over the release of the movie.
