'Mahanati' makers launched the audio of the film yesterday in a grand event. Savitri family members attended the event including her son Satish who stays in the USA. Satish spoke at length about the film. He said " think mom is here. All the actors are here..and I have seen all of your films. I'm so proud and feel lucky that you have made this film. I think mom's spirit is in each one of the actresses and technicians worked for the film. She has gone inside you and inspired you to make this film. I have been watching the snippets of this film on YouTube and they are amazing."
"When they told me that they are going to make a biopic on mom, I was scared that this going to be another tragic story. So, I wanted to meet director Nag Aswhin to hear the story. I was in the US and fixed a meeting with him. He told me that it takes a couple of hours to narrate the story. It took two days! When I was asking him the questions in between the narration he used to answer me. Sometimes I fell silent. He used to ask me "Satish.. Are you here.. are you listening?" When he was asking the question tears were rolling down from my eyes. Not that it's sad. I felt - Can a person think of this angle?"
"Mom is no more. If she would have been alive, she could have shared many things with you. If NTR, ANR also would have been here it could have been wonderful. I remember a childhood incident when I saw NTR garu on the location. I asked my mom- Mummy he is not like Lord Krishna."
