Several Problems For Sridevi Soda Center
By: Tupaki Desk | 25 Aug 2021 7:33 AM GMTAs revealed by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy, who are bankrolling Sudheer Babu's Sridevi Soda Center, the film's shoot progressed amidst several problems and hiccups. They stated that it wasn't always a smooth ride while working on the film, but things panned out just fine towards the end. "On the very first day itself, the main camera that we had rented for the film's shoot fell to the ground. We were worried as something like this happened on the very first day itself. Then, a member of the crew was electrocuted while he was operating near one of the caravans. We were concerned about all the occurrences that gave the film's shoot a shaky start," the producers said.
The producer-duo went on to add that there was another incident that left the entire unit worried. "One day, while we were leaving to shoot an important sequence in the film, one of the caravans brokedown and it resulted in an unforeseen delay. This happened while we were already riddled about the dodgy incident that happened during the initial stages of shoot,. Then comes the most disturbing incident that shook us personally. One of our family members died while were shooting for the film. We then halted the shoot for a month. After the layoff, we sat down to discuss the shooting schedules, and luckily there weren't any hiccups or disturbances after that. We completed the shoot without an further delays," they said.
The producers of Sridevi Soda Center are now laughing their way to the bank as they are said to have made solid profits by selling off the negative rights of the film. The theatrical rights fetched Rs 8 crores and the non-theatrical rights fetched another Rs12 crore. The makers, who had spent around Rs 8 crores on the project have already made Rs 20 crores out of it. The film is directed by Karuna Kumar of Palasa fame and it features Aanandhi in the female lead role. The film is gearing up for theatrical release on the 27th of this month. It is billed to be a rustic actioner with a socially relevant plot.
