Shaakuntalam's Box Office: The End of a Disappointing Journey

Samantha Ruth Prabhu-starrer Shaakuntalam, produced by top producer Dil Raju and directed by Gunasekhar, seems to be a disaster at the box office. Despite earning INR 4.28 crore range share collections and INR 9 crore gross collections worldwide in its first week.
The movie still needs to collect INR 14 crore more to reach its target of INR 19 crore at the box office. The negative talk surrounding the movie has led to a decrease in the number of people coming to theaters, with some areas not even showing the movie due to lack of interest.
It has been reported that the film has incurred losses of around INR 12-13 crore. In the first week, the movie earned INR 2.48 crore shares in AP and Telangana, INR 35 lakh shares in Tamil Nadu, and INR 38 lakh shares in Karnataka and Rest of India.
