Shahrukh met Gauri for the first time when he was at the age of 19 and its love at first sight for him. Gauri was then just 14-Years-Old. He finally succeeded making her fall in love and have dated for five years. Due to few differences with SRK, Gauri went to Mumbai along with her Friends. That's when Shahrukh told her Mother about his lover and reached Mumbai where he searched for her in all the beaches. At last, He found her at the Aksha beach and they got very emotional then. With this incident, Gauri understood how much SRK loves her.
Gauri was scared to tell his parents about her love as SRK is a Muslim. Shahrukh attended a function in Gauri's Family to impress them and he introduced himself as a Hindu then. Finally, They both got married on October 25th, 1991 with the consent of both the families.
Shahrukh Khan keeps saying Gauri played a key role in his success. Even Gauri says SRK encouraged her a lot when she thought of starting Interior Design business.
