The movie has been the most popular one amongst the actors in Telugu Cinema. Many want to play Vedha character played by Vijay Sethupathi.

Venkatesh and Rana were eyeing to remake it, according to several reports in media.

But the Telugu remake has been taking lot of time. Before that, Hindi remake has been announced now. The casting of the movie hasn't been finalized yet.

Pushkar-Gayatri will direct the Hindi version. They did the original Tamil version. Y NOT Studios will produce the movie with Reliance Entertainment as the partners.
