Shankar continued as the Top Director down South for over a decade. SS Rajamouli alone was able to either match or surpass him with films such as 'Magadheera', 'Eega' and 'Baahubali'. In the past couple of years, Jakkanna had become an International Figure due to the stupendous success of his epic war drama.
An interesting conversation took place between these two great filmmakers during the trailer launch event of '2.O'. SS Rajamouli who was one of the guests asked the question, 'Shankar Sir…You made '2.O' which have a huge canvas with Rs 500 crore. How was you able to handle such a massive project without any pressure?'.
Shankar replied, 'Working more is my style. I don't feel pressure when I do something I like the most. Be it any project, I work in the same manner. And, I am a big fan of Rajamouli Sir'.
Both the Top Filmmakers showing utmost respect to each other stood as a highlight of '2.O' event. There is a lot Younger Generation can learn from the way these achievers remained grounded despite achieving so much.
