Shankar-Ram Charan's Project Lands In Trouble!

It looks like India's ace director Shankar is finding it difficult to stay out of controversies lately. He went into a legal battle with 'Lyca Productions' regarding the shooting of 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Hassan. They fought for a long time and even criticized each other on public platforms. Finally, when the issue settled down, Shankar seems to have landed in another trouble.
As we know, he is all set to start working on his upcoming high-budget pan-Indian movie with Ram Charan as the lead. It will be produced by Dil Raju and Bollywood star heroine Kiara Advani is the heroine. It is one of the most awaited projects and a co-director is now accusing Shankar of stealing his story.
His name is Sellamuthu and he worked under Karthik Subbaraj. He says that Shankar took the story directly from Karthik Subbaraj without asking him. Sellamuthu reached the Indian Association of Writers and asked them to do justice. This news is currently creating a lot of stir on social media.
This is not the first time that Shankar faced such allegations. He was accused of taking stories from other persons without their permission for movies like 'Robo', '2.0' and others. Interestingly, none of them were proven and ended up as false accusations. We need to wait and see how this issue turns out. A few weeks back, Shankar and Ascar Ravichandran released press statements regarding the 'Anniyan' remake. They both were at loggerheads but the issue died down gradually. Seems like Shankar is getting into the news a lot lately but for all the wrong reasons.
