'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' didn't fare well at the Box Office and all the parties involved has incurred huge losses. As the theatrical run has come to an end, Loss to Producer Sharrath Marar is estimated to be around Rs 8 crore if the sources are to be believed.
Actually, 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' shoot didn't went as per the planning. From 'Dusshera' last year to 'Pongal', It got postponed multiple times. This delay eventually led to rise in production cost by more than Rs 10 crore.
With career best pre-release business, 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' got released with table profits but Distributors & Exhibitors lost hugely. Negative WOM affected the revenues from Day 2 and thereafter recovery looked almost impossible. Still, 'Sardaar' collected a share of Rs 50 crore-plus to end up as cost-failure project.
