Legendary Actor Shashi Kapoor is no more!

India's first famous actor family, Kapoor family, lost one of the major Pillars today. Shashi Kapoor, younger brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor left for divine abode today at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. He has been suffering with long illness from few years.

The actor has been introduced to the field as a romantic hero and in his brother's direction he acted in Satyam Shivam Sundaram, that made him a great romantic hero in 60's. Post the emergence of Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, he held his own as the supporting actor. He is famous for his "Mere Pass Maa Hein" line from Deewar in an epic confrontation with Amitabh Bachchan.

Indian President, Ramnath Kovind, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Bollywood producer and director, Karan Johar expressed their grief over the loss of the legend. The 79 year old, married a British woman, Jennifer Kendal and the couple are succeded by Kunal Kapoor, Karan Kapoor and Sanjana Kapoor. We mourn the loss of a great actor in Indian Cinema.
