Miss India throws the blame on Tollywood
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 July 2016 6:12 AMShobita Dhulipala, the Telugu girl who shot to fame after winning the coveted Miss India title, struck a 3-film deal with Acclaimed Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's production house after her riveting performance in 'Raman Raghav 2.0'.
The 23-Year-Old claims to be proud to be known as a Telugu Ammayi who loves 'Pappu Annam'. She always wanted to be actress and playing a Telugu girlfriend to Serial Killer Nawazuddin Siddique in her debut is a memorable experience for her. Initially, Shobita was approached to play a Punjabi Girl in the movie. Upon watching her talk to her Mother in Telugu, Anurag Kashyap changed her character to a Telugu girl, Smrutika Naidu.
A Complaint from Shobita would be that Tollywood isn't welcoming Telugu Girls although Industry Folks keep saying there is dearth of local talent. She questions, 'How could Girls like Me, without any background, prove their talent without opportunities?'.
