Shocker: Drushyam Producers sued!

'Drushyam', the family thriller, was highly successful in not just Malayalam but Telugu and Kannada as well. Even Kamal Haasan is planning to remake this flick in Tamil now and the pooja ceremony was held the other day.
Much to the shock of 'Drushyam' Southern makers, Ekta Kapoor, a leading Bollywood producer, has sued the producers for allegedly copying the plot from a book she has acquired film rights. She was really upset to know that the South makers have gone ahead to make the film even though she holds the movie rights. Hence, The lady producer has sent legal notices to the producer.
Notably, The plot of 'Drushyam' is lifted straight away from Japanese Author Keigo Higashino's book 'Devotion Of Suspect X'.
There is still no clarity if the Malayalam Producer alone pays the penalty or the loss will be shared by producers of Telugu, Tamil and Kannada 'Drushyam'. As of now, All the producers of 'Drushyam' need to be prepared for paying some portion of profits to Ekta Kapoor to avoid any further trouble.
