Shocker: MAA TV for SALE?

Yes, MAA TV which is the Telugu entertainment channel at NO.1 Position for the past few weeks is up for sale!
MAA TV's board of directors include Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, Union Minister Chiranjeevi and his Brother-in-Law Allu Aravind and last but not leasr Akkineni Nagarjuna. It is learnt that Matrix Prasad came up with the proposal and all the 3 partners have given their consent.
As of now, Market valuation of MAA TV is currently Rs 1800 crore. The Telugu channel already entered into an MoU with Sony for a takeover.
In fact, Sony Pictures entered into an agreement with MAA TV long ago and acquire 30 percent equity stake in the Telugu channel. Now, it will acquire the remaining 70% too.
Why MAA Management wishes to sell the channel which is at top position? Seems like, Board of Directors wants to cash in on the current No.1 Position.
