On Thursday she tweeted about her"husband" in social media. The actress shared a photo of her with Bollywood lyricist and screenwriter Niranjan Iyengar. She wrote "Game of Thrones lunch with my dearest husband @ashesinwind69 #life #truth #friends #kolsch."
Many of her fans were heart broken with the news and started enquiring from her. Some even posted tweets about her "secret" wedding. After two hours Shruti revealed that it was just a joke and nothing more than that.
She tweeted: "Note to self - do not crack jokes on social media, no one has a sense of humour."
